Do not enter the gates of the Bar 3 Ranch before you read this News Flash!
Stage 10
has 30 targets that have to be shot 1 time each, this year. Each gun

A HALLOWEEN'S KING FEAST
Event Date:
October 31, 2014
Barn Doors Open At
6:00 p.m.
Place:
Badlands
Bar 3 Ranch
Last year, the
S.A.S.S. Convention was held in Branson, MO. The gang
decided to take a small break from the convention activities and found
ourselves at the Dixie Stampede. We all enjoyed the dinner
and festivities which reminded us of Medieval Times, a dinner theatre in
Texas. So, after some discussin' I got to thinkin' we could have a dinner like
that! And the King's Feast was born!
This year on
Friday night, the Range will provide dinner in the Big Ban with a King's
Twist. We will serve you a 7 course meal with no
trimmings. That's right, dress up in your medieval
costume and bring your favorite drink and gold goblet.
Dinner will be served on a King's Golden platter and, of course, you
are required to wear a King's crown for the feast (also provided).
Bring your own favorite crown if you have one. It
will be a kick for photo ops. Yes, the Range will provide
everything you need for the dinner meal.
Doors open at 6:00 and we will begin serving around 6:15-6:30.
After dinner,
we'll announce the Side Match winners and then enjoy a good ol' fashioned Barn
Dance. Plan on staying out late and attending the Farewell
Party. "We ain't doing down 'til the some comes up"!
Rest up before you get to the ranch because you'll be tired when ya
leave!
See ya in
the Badlands!

WARM UP MATCH ON
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH
I know everyone is
getting very excited about Comin' At Cha, 2014. It's
almost time to pack the camper or SUV and drive towards the Red River.
Welcoming campers this year will be Free At Last.
Just follow the sign to English, Texas and you should see plenty of friendly
faces. If you plan on shooting the Warm Up match, it
starts Wednesday, October 29th at 12:30 with a mandatory safety meeting in the
Big Barn. The Warm Up match is 4 stages so bring plenty of
ammo! You will need to register and sign up at in the Big
Barn so allow time for that.
ROI AND ROII CLASSES ON THE RANGE!
This year, Texas
Jack Daniels and Billy Boots will be teaching the Range Safety classes for ROI
and ROII at CaC, 2104. The class will be held in the
saloon just inside the Big Barn on October 30th. Class
begins at 8 a.m. for ROI and 12 p.m. for ROII. If you have
never attended a safety class, please try to attend the ROI class.
You will learn lots of information that is very helpful in our shooting
activities on the range. Lots of rules have changed during
the past year. If you are already a ROI, take the class as
a refresher seminar and enjoy spending the morning meeting new pards.
The cost for the ROI class is $10 and $25 for ROII. Minimum
class size for each session is five.
See
Ya in the Badlands!

Howdy cowgirls and
cowboys! Time has slipped up and passed us all again in a
flash. Comin' At

Along with the Intercontinental Outlaw Championship of the World match,
CaC proves to be a true competition and shooter's match for all.
This year's Comin'

know it's gonna continue to be a great place for pards to meet up and send a
few rounds down the range.
Entries are coming

Party, please get those applications in so we can plan and get things ready
for ya. I would like to thank everyone who has helped with
Comin' At Cha in the past and hope CaC, 2014 will be the best one ever, as
well as, a tribute to S.A.S.S., Cowboy Action Shooting, and all the Ranch

April 4, 2014 ****NEWS FLASH**** Howdy Y'all from Texas, home of the S.A.S.S. Southwest Regional and Intercontinental Outlaw Championship of the World! This year is very special to us because we all made it another year in Cowboy Action Shooting. I lost my mom, Pawnee Brown, late last year and that took some wind out of my sails. I miss her daily and look forward to seeing her memories on the Range. Stage 10 is our memory lane and a tribute to all Range members that have passed and gone on to Heaven. Honey B. Graceful makes sure our website has the latest information readily accessible for you including the Comin' At Cha 2014 application. You can download a Vendor's application on the website, as well. We have plenty of parking for RV campers and Vendor's Row is waiting on new and returning merchants. We now have Kansas in our and region and welcome y'all with open arms. This year we will have some special events like Saturday night fireworks after the awards. We will host a good old fashion barn dance on Friday night featuring Durango. Heck, we may even have a Halloween Costume contest since it's gonna be Halloween on Friday. We'll have a Warm up match, Side matches, the Wild Bunch match, lunches, dinners, and sweets. Yep, it's all inclusive. I'll be sending out News Flashes until the match begins to keep you updated on Comin' At Cha, 2014. Sign up early and bring your friends. Contact Ellie Gant at sheryltolbert@yahoo.com for special arrangements. Thanks! T-Bone Dooley
